Message	yes mine look like the one on the right, i know 3 others that had the same problem. mine decided to show themselves at 100k. feb 1990 car. from what i took of it, they are not actually "soft" but in fact too hard and would bounce off the valve seat and thus create the abnormal wear pattern. personally i think there are more cars running around with these valves in them than nissan claims there are. at any rate 90 cars should be avoided. i know 3 people that had this problem at or past 100k, which is bit more than 0% that you claim exist ever existed or whatever.
